sir acid halide convert into aldehyde by dibalh

    eduncle-logo-app

DIBAL-H cannot be used to reduce acid chlorides to aldehydes directly. Rosenmund reduction is preferred for the reduction of acid chlorides

it cannot reduce nitro group but amine & unhydride can be reduced

    what about carboxylic group

    eduncle-logo-app

DIBAL reacts slowly with electron-poor compounds, and more quickly with electron-rich compounds

    eduncle-logo-app

so yes it can reduce carboxylic acid

    eduncle-logo-app

sir why is can't reduce nitro group

    eduncle-logo-app
