Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

The plane containing the optic axis in which the vibrations occur is known as the plane of vibration. Plane of vibration of a polarized light wave is generally unchanged in passing through a transparent material; it remains polarized in a similar plane. The plane which is at right angles to the plane of vibration and which contains the direction of propagation of the polarized light is known as the plane of polarization. It is the plane in which the magnetic-vibration element of plane-polarized electromagnetic radiation lies. The plane of polarization does not contain vibrations in it. See fig attached.
but what they are rotated and after that light has to pass through a wave plate
well. they both will still be at right angles. intensity of light coming out may vary
mam agar koi question ho jisme hm ye bolte h ki hmne polarizing plane ko rotate kiya aur polarizer ke baad wave plate ko tha to uska axis kitne angle se rotate hoga
mam not completely clr. yahaan plane to plane component polarize ho rha h to PQ polarisation axis h to PQRS should be plane of polarisation
if somebody gives me a diagram to identify the planes I cannot so pls give me some better idea or material for that. aur polarisation axis and optic axis mein kya difference h .is polarisation axis same as optic axis . aur if ques mein optic axis na given ho to how can I identify that
theoritical picture is there only but not conceptual
polarizer bhi to ek tarh ka crystal hi h to usmein bhi to birefringence Hona chahiye
can u schedule a meeting for us so that I can understand better
yahaan incident light ek unpolarised wave thi to vibrations bhi 2 plane mein honi chaiye ek parallel aur ek perpendicular
yeah. I'll try to explain you better, as per my schedule, you write all your further doubts here. we'll discuss.
see. polarization axis is different from optic axis in sense that any Polaroid that is not double refracting crystal has polarizing axis. but optic axis is only present in double refracting crystals. Do not confuse yourself in Polaroid and double refracting crystals. Birefrengence is seen in double refracting crystals and not in other Polaroids
