There are 5 enthalpy associated here...3 of them include endothermic steps means heat is absorbed and 2 of them include exothermic steps means heat is released

    eduncle-logo-app

For enthalpy of formation to be negative del Hf ...the exothermic steps must be less than endothermic steps...so overall it becomes negative

    eduncle-logo-app

Enthalpy of sublimation requires heat...so it is endothermic

    eduncle-logo-app

Ionisation enthalpy you know it is energy required to remove the most loosely bound electrons..so it is also endothermic

    eduncle-logo-app

For dissociation we require heat...so it is also endothermic

    eduncle-logo-app

electron affinity is energy released...so exothermic

    eduncle-logo-app

lattice energy is heat released..so exothermic...

    eduncle-logo-app

So for stable ionic compounds...exothermic steps must be less than endothermic steps...for del Hf to be negative

    Now got this simun??

    eduncle-logo-app

    please ask if any doubt😊🙏

    eduncle-logo-app

what is born land equation and its use

    eduncle-logo-app

for lattice energy calculation of ionic compound...born lande equation is used

    eduncle-logo-app

    what is born land equation

    eduncle-logo-app

    see this

    eduncle-logo-app

it is just a equation for calculation of lattice energy of ionic compounds

    eduncle-logo-app

but in exam which is use born hebar or born land

    eduncle-logo-app

born haber cycle also you prefer for more precise enthalpy

    eduncle-logo-app

    according to question you proceed...

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok sir tq

    eduncle-logo-app

    you welcome simun😊
