I know in case of oso4 cis and in second case trans

    eduncle-logo-app

    I m confused in that 1 line

    eduncle-logo-app

see simun reactant structure and product structure..if it is same then the addition which the reagent favours,,it occurs

    eduncle-logo-app

if change then there must be change in structure too

    eduncle-logo-app

    simun any doubt??

    eduncle-logo-app

means syn product is the write ans or wrong for OSO4 addition reactions

    eduncle-logo-app

yes syn products always favour simun in case of OsO4

Br2 addition is anti but here why this

    eduncle-logo-app

simun here trans or anti products forms

    eduncle-logo-app

i explained that in this case ,bromonium ion intermediate is formed

    eduncle-logo-app

I know trans product is formed but here Br2 attached in same side

    eduncle-logo-app

it is non classical carbocation type structure so attack of reagent from only one side that if from anti side

    eduncle-logo-app

here Br2 attached at same side

    eduncle-logo-app

no simun it is not same side...as it is not draw in dash and wedge form...so you are confused

    eduncle-logo-app

who to know it is opposite

see after addition of peracetic acid in 2nd one...there is no change as already in products trans product is formed

see you know hydroxylation through Os04 gives cis product and peracetic acid gives trans product...so according to product formed you have to check for carbon atom in the reactant

    eduncle-logo-app

    I can't understand

    eduncle-logo-app

    simply oso4 give cis products

    eduncle-logo-app

yes...if you get trans in products...then there must be change in carbon atom in the reactant

    eduncle-logo-app

so according to products the structure of reactant varies

    eduncle-logo-app

can u give example for this

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes wait

    eduncle-logo-app

    ok
