What is the best book for the IIT JAM in chemistry? Organic Chemistry: 1. Clayden (best book -deep concepts in organic chemistry and a person can clear CSIR-JRF easily. Please don’t have cursory reading. Read in detail as mentioned in book chapter wise from the beginning. Answer key and solution mentioned in book itself. you just need to login their websites. 2. Bruice- Best book for beginner in organic chemistry. First start with Bruice and then Clayden. 3. Inorganic Chemistry: Huheey 3a. J.D. Lee for beginners and for major topics which come directly into IIT JAM Chemistry study Huheey - this is must. 4. Physical: Atkins (though many people not able to understand initially, not a issue! still read and took help from the book mentioned below: 4a. K.L. Kapoor: various volumes are available depending upon the chapter. Inundated with questions and solved examples of physical chemistry. Rest can be done also from Atkins. Quantum chemistry - do follow atkins 5. Donald Mcquarrie: Bestest book I have ever read for quantum and spectroscopy. More than sufficient in terms of knowledge and clarity. Other chapters like group theory many more are available. so please study Mcquarrie also. 6.Solved road map problems of organic chemistry. 7. To follow 6. one needs to have a command over name reactions. For this follow Peterskyies. It is not a comprehensive book but helpful I have already mentioned you bible of organic chemistry that is Clayden and Bruice. 8. Solve last year question papers of IIT-JAM Chemistry. This helps you alot. You have an idea of important name reactions since plenty of reactions are there and hard to remember everyone. 9. check the organising institute & last year paper formulated by that institute. 10. Hope I help you. Contact me any time for further help. I will send you the Pdf of the some books mentioned above. All the best and aim for the IIT’s and IISC. Happy reading and stay positive:)

First complete your lecture at the same do revision of notes on daily basis. Ask doubts from the faculty & get your concept clear. Once you complete the lecture then join test series. Test series will help you get your concept crystal clear and the same time it will make your habit to sit for continuous 3 hours in paper. Hard work, patience & regularity are 3 mantra. Keep it & beat it.

should i directly go to test after completing lectures of a unit or i should first do questions from somewhere and after that go to test? which is better?

    eduncle-logo-app

Doesn't matter. Test series is also a practice.
