    but how you know that only chain structures are calculated and cyclic are not

    see when elimination occurs then 1 butene is formed rather their yield is very low...and 2 butene is formed which have two geometrical isomers...cis and trans......you draw structural isomers of C4H8 ...C4H8 have 5 structural isomers but in this elimination reaction ring formation doesn't takes place so 3 possible isomers of F are possible.....got??
