    Option a is correct. the carbanion B is most stable because the Nitro group at para position will stabilize the resonating structures thus B has more life time. the least stable carbanion is D because it is not stabilized by resonance. the carbanion C is more stable than A because the methoxy group at meta position stabilizes the carbanion by -I effect whereas in carbanion A the alkyl group at para position destabilizes the resonating structures by hyperconjugation and +I effect.
