convergence and divergence nth term test how to find for b and c?

    For convergence of the series, ONE of the necessary conditions is that limit of the nth term has to tend to 0. That doesn't mean it's a sufficient condition. That's why it doesn't work for 1/n.

    1/n tends to 0..then why ??

    If a series converges, then it's nth term should tend to 0. But it doesn't mean that of the nth term tends to 0, the series converges.
