Dates Announcement of IIT JAM 2021 conducted by IISc Bangalore


JAM 2021, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore is going to be the organizing authority for the IIT JAM 2021 exam for the first time. IIT-JAM Exam has been established as a benchmark for the undergraduate level of science education in the country.


From the Academic Session 2004-05, IITs started conducting a Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM). The objective of JAM is to provide admissions to M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programmes at the IITs and Integrated Ph.D. Degree Programmes at the IISc.


The aim of these institutes is to build a sound foundation of knowledge, pursue excellence, and enhance creativity in an intellectually stimulating environment.


Highlights of IIT-JAM 2021 -
 

  • The Biggest Highlight of JAM 2021 is the Name of the exam which is "Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2021" earlier it was Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) only.
     

    The reason behind that, from the year 2021, a new paper Economics (EN) is added and the purview of JAM is extended to social sciences to provide admissions to Masters Programmes in Economics at the IITs. and to reflect this, the name of the exam is changed to Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) from 2021.


  • JAM 2021 Examination will be held on February 14, 2021 (Sunday) as a Computer Based ONLINE Examination.

     
  • It will have Seven Test Papers, (Economics (EN) paper is added new this year) namely -     


 

  • Academic Programmes of JAM 2021 - Full Time Only
     
    • M.Sc. (Two Years)
    • Masters in Economics (Two Years)
    • Joint M.Sc.- Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree
    • Other Post-Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at different IITs
    • Integrated Ph.D. Programmes at the IISc.

       
  • Online Registration and Application Process will start on 10th September 2020 and concludes on 15th October 2020.

     

  • This year IIT JAM will be conducted across 71 Exam Centres, which was 68 earlier. Three new cities have been added to the list of centers. Check the list -

  • Exam Pattern of Joint Admission Test - (Same as the Previous Pattern of JAM 2020)

    All the seven Test Papers of IIT-JAM 2021 will be of entirely objective type, with three different patterns of questions, namely -

    MCQ has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.

    MSQ is similar to MCQ but with the difference that MSQ may have one or more than one correct choice(s) out of the four given choices. The candidate gets full credit only if he/she selects all the correct answer(s) only and no wrong answers.

    In NAT type questions, the answer is a signed real number, which needs to be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. No choices will be shown for NAT questions.

    I have some backlogs completed my degree in march 2021 I am eligible for IIT jam
