Cratons are defined as part of the crust which has attained stability and which has not been deformed for a long times. A shield is a large area of exposed Precambrian crystalline igneous and high-grade metamorphic rocks that form tectonically stable areas. A platform is a continental area covered by relatively flat or gently tilted, mainly sedimentary strata, which overlie a basement of consolidated igneous or metamorphic rocks of an earlier deformation. (Platforms, shields and the basement rocks together constitute cratons.)

Craton is basically a large, coherent domain of Earth's continental crust that has attained and maintained long-term stability(resists permanent deformation by any agent ),but the fact is they undergone little internal deformation near its margins due to interaction with neighbouring terranes.While talking about shield it is, specifically, an exposed area of Precambrian igneous or metamorphic rock.Platform is basically a part of craton that is covered by sedimentary strata and rocks either horizontal or subhorizontal(sometimes inclined and they undergone thrusting as well).
