https://chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/96822/which-has-a-greater-dominance-hydration-enthalpy-or-lattice-energy Read this Article It helps...As these are dominating according to situation ...Many deviations are also in considering all these...

Hydration energy is dominat if the difference between size is large And lattice energy is dominated if the same is similar But how can decided that polarization will dominated..

Dear Nimesh, I am telling this things that there are many exceptions in chemistry...many deviations....If you try to find direct shortcut in this way that which factors dominates then this is not going to happen directly...let us take the case if grp2 hydroxides, carbonates and sulphate solubility...if we consider polarisation factor ,hydration factor and lattice energy factors then things get complicated...for grp 1 and grp 2 we generally take the lattice energy and hydration energy factor...but here also comes exceptions...As solubility of grp 2 metal hydroxides increases down the group ...but reverse happen in the case of grp 2 metal carbonates and sulphates solubility which decreases down the group...So you have to point out all the exceptions case and make notes of that as because question comes only from that part...if you think by focusing on any one concept you can determine then you didn't get the exact answer

In your attached image you take polarisation factor and hydration energy factor, then what about lattice energy here mainly lattice energy and hydration energy factors comes into effect....Due to the large size of carbonate and sulphate their lattice energy in grp generally becomes constant...so hydration energy decides solubility here...you know down the group size increases hydration energy decreases ..so solubility decrease.... when HE>lattice energy then solubility is more

https://youtu.be/3KdmmTQ5-Vs check this video dear nimesh...here you get mostly solubility series...keep notes of that...as many deviations occurs in solubility so if you think this and tick the answer then in answer key you find no this is exceptions...so better is to keep remember these things

    eduncle-logo-app

see this is explained by polarisation case...So these are comparable things....
