Here in the formula U is inversely proportional to C but in next formula it also becomes directly proportional to C . So how stored energy varies with C directly or inversely!!?????

If you express U as a function of q and C then it will be inversely proportional to C but if you express U as a function of v and C then it will be directly proportional.Since here v or q is itself a function of C (q=cv) you may use any of the formula according to your need. Both will give you same result.

I tried something different to let you understand this concept. I don't know whether you would like this approach or not. Through this example, I am trying to let you understand by yourself (because it's you who have to clear the exam, so it's like home work for you, do this question by your own after having a look at my solution, which has been solved on similar lines). Proportionality depends on other factors too. if q is constant then U would be inversely proportional to C. and if V is constant, U will be directly proportional to C. Best regards.

if whatever u r saying should be thue then q and V should constant.....but it's not the case......if q varies then V also and hence C also.......so we can not define the dependecy on one variable only.....we need two simultaneously

so dear we would see dependency on all variables bcoz all are changing.

dear.....we can't denoting independent variation with respect to c. see attached
