now, i just going through my meterial, after completing it i will solve out previous year question paper. iam not refering any other books. this is my stratrgy. l cant afford any other books.

electromagnetism is one of the most important branch for competitive exams and carry maximum weightage. For having good command in electrostatics you should have a better knowledge of vectors,spherical and cylindrical coordinate system,Dirac Delta function etc. Before starting electromagnetism make sure to prepare first chapter of Griffiths. And solve as much problems as you can. Griffiths is best option for electrostatics.

Dear, You can follow some steps to overcome your difficulty. 1.Start from the basic 12 level. 2.Read the theory and try to understand the concepts. 3.Mark the portion where you are facing problem. 4.Try to clear your doubt portion from various source. 5.When you are preparing a subunit,make a note of your own. 6.After reading the part solve some problems from there. After completing the whole unit solve the previous year questions from electrostatics. I think if you follow these steps it will help you a lot.

Electrostatic is a very important part in physics.In every exam a good number of questions come from this part.You cannot ignore it.Some important units from where questions comes frequently on various competitive exams are-1.Force on a charge due to multiple charge.2.Electrostatic field and potential calculation for various charge distribution.3.Electric flux calculation.4.Application of Gauss's law.5.Problem from relation between field and potential. etc.

for scoring a good rank in iit jam physics first you have to do command on mathematical physics, thermodynamics,solid state and electronics, waves and optics, quantum physics . if you have master on these five subjects you will definately score above 55 marks now you have to score a rank right . for that don't go into too deep of mechanics and emt if your mp is strong then electrostat is quite easy because in this you have to solve 90 per of vectors and for magnetism part learn to solve those questions which hold more of concept and less of calculations .. for better understanding you can follow Griffiths and you can learn one concept and then practice it's previous year questions for emt
