Example 3.7 nucleus of 5fm radius, use uncertainty principle to place a lower limit on the energy an electron must have. why delx value is not taken diameter?

Please explain this Example 3.7, especially why we take delX equal to diameter as whole nucleus is available to electron. Then why to take radius and not diameter? And also, why del p is taken equal to p? How uncertainty of p can be equal to p itself. Even in any approximations, uncertainty of a physical entity cannot explain its original value? Example 3.7
