Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

can we solve this using this condition also?
I have to see the previous equations that are written on the bottom of this page ..then I can tell you
as they have given the solution ..but the doubt is that in the condition for critical damping k=damping constant which we need to find but im not able to understand the given solution
this is the condition
I think they have used for some particular type of example from that they solved this equation. For understanding you have to see from the starting when they consider differential equation and then you have to solve each step, after solving this you can easily understand this condition also.
okay i got it but i have one doubt about this particular condition ,here in this question they are considering r as damping constant but what the condition says is that root of k^2-w0^2 = 0 and k= damping constant so how there is 4m^2 in the denominator
You can match with your textbook equations and from there you wil understand your doubt.
