    here check the picture... As in the Question T "proportional to "2usintheta/g mentioned, so here it's taken x component velocity of U , that's ucos theta...but if It was mentioned T=2u sin theta/g, then my answer is correct...I am ensuring you...

    And as we know that TORQUE=r(perpendicular)×F... So perpendicular "r" = ucos theta ×t...and F=mg...u also checked my second picture also that I have sent for clarification... sorry for inconvenience
