    Here both the radius of orbit are given same.There i's some typing mistake in this problem. The second radius should be other than R. The problem should be like below.... suppose at first the satellite moves in a orbit of radius R and time period T.Now if the the radius of orbit becomes 8R what wiill be the time period? To solve this kind of problem you have to use Kepler's theory T2 is proportional to R3. See the attached file for solution of this kind of problem.
