the method is given in your book is the shortcut. this is a special form of integral as you remember other forms, you need to remember that how to solve such kind of problems. there is another lengthy way motivated from that method is (see attachment)- I am not solving by that method you solve it by that method, this is good exercise for you that are you remember that whatever you study till now, in that method you find many old forms, (try yourself, I am not solving)
