    Clearly answer would be (A)... Transverse fault has a cross cutting relationship with the characteristics regional structures. Longitudinal fault strikes parallel to the structures mentioned in the question.. While bedding fault strikes parallel to the bedding (movement necessarily parallel to the bedding plane) and Diagonal fault also considered as oblique fault is that fault in which fault plane strikes diagonally to the adjacent beds or beds in succession.

    The answer should be A) Transverse fault. If fault plane cuts across any structural element or any structural element is at nearly right angles to fault plane those kinds of faults are transverse faults

    A. Transverse fault When a geological fault cuts across through any region structure (fold, schistosity etc.), the fault is known as transverse fault. Longitudinal fault is geological fault with its strike parallel to that of the regional structure.
