Correct answer is (B). As it's exothermic Reaction & will require energy to overcome the Transition barrier. As A+ B - X is a slow Reaction thus Rate Determining step. Now as the X is formed it would be Transition step between the both reactions. Now option A has no Transition State & Reaction 2 is fast so option is neglected here. Now option C has X as Transition step but has higher energy requirement for X - AB formation after being a fast step this seems less feasible. Now Correct answer is option B because it satisfies both Transition Step & lower energy requirement for X- AB formation as it is fast step.

The reaction occurring in two steps has two activation energy peaks. The first step being slow needs more activation energy. The second step being fast, needs less activation energy. Therefore, second peak will be lower than the first. Option B is correct.
