    Under the Factories Act 1948
    Overcrowding : In every workroom, there shall be at least 14.2 cubic metre of space for every worker, which includes space of 4.2 metres above the level of the floor of the room.
    Lightning : Sufficient and suitable lightning, natural or artificial, or both
    Drinking Water : For more than 250 workmers, cool drinking water to be provided during hot weather.
    Latrines and Urinals : For more than 250 workers, latrine/urinals shall be of prescribed sanitary types.
