if e is an identity element in Z then a*e=a a.e/2=a e=2 option A
why not option d?
no a*1/2=a/4≠a so not option D

pahle identity calculate Karte hai fir inverse . aap ko ye pata kase laga ki a ka inverse a^-1 hai wo to multiple ke liye hota hai
for identity always use a*e=a
a^-1 toh maan ke chalte hai in general kewal multiplication ke liye he nahi ainverse toh kisi bhi operation ke liye hum maan ke chalte hai na sir.
but ye necessary nahi ki har operation ke liye b=a-1
