How can increase in surface area and polarisability of pie electrons increase the boiling point of a hydrocarbon?

    By increasing the surface area the number of interactions between two molecules increases... That's why more energy is required to separate the two molecules.... And boiling point increases. While polarisability of pi electrons makes the molecules more polar so boiling point increases due to polar attraction between molecules.
