DUCTILE AND BRITTLE BOTH THE NATURE ARE DIFFERENT ON DIFFERENT MINERALS ON DIFFERENT PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE CONDITION. GENERALLY THE CRUSTAL PART IS BRITTLE SO PRODUCES FAULT BRECCIA AND GOUGE . AS WE GO DEEPER THE LOWER CRUST AND MANTLE ARE DUCTILE IN NATURE ..AND FURTHER ITS MORE DUCTILE AND PRODUCES MYLONITE,GNEISS

TO UNDERSTAND THIS YOU SHOULD GO AND VISUALISE THE PICTURE BELOW....EVERY OBJECT IS ELASTIC...AND BRITTLE IS SUCH A CHARACTER WHICH WHEN A ROCK/ OBJECT FAILS OR BREAK WITHIN THE ELASTIC ZONE...AND PLASTIC IS A NATURE OF OBJECT WHEN THAT OBJECT DOESN'T COME BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL SHAPE AFTER THE STRESS IS REMOVED.(DUCTLE IS A SUBPART OF PLASTIC AND USED INTERCHANGEABLE.)
