How can we we observe colour in d block ?

how can we we observe colour in d block ? sir , as I know tha t fully filled d orbitals ( or empty d orbitals) in a complex compound means they are colourless. but how can we determine colour in half filled or singly paired electron( unpaired due to one electron ).

The colour of transition metal complexes is due to d-d transition...So the metal ion must have unpaired d electrons so that d-d transition occurs and it exhibits colour..But what colour it exhibits this you have to learn either directly or by some trick.. https://youtu.be/9gYZf1eSdVc check this video..it help

this basically depends on the wavelength range on which the energy falls which inparts colour. Some exceptions you have to keep in mind
