Time management is very much important in IIT JAM. The eduncle test series for IIT JAM Mathematical Statistics helped me a lot in this portion. I am very thankful to the test series I bought from eduncle.

See we can can't clearly say that these many marks Will guarantee your selection. See this exam has now become very competitive. So it totally depends on the Rank which you get. Here the thing which matters most is your Rank. Now the situation as of this year is that they have removed the M. Sc. BT Course from IIT - Roorkee. So now only 3 IITs are left - IIT Bombay, IIT Indore & IIT - Kharagpur(Int. PhD course only). So this creates more problem now. So for getting into IIT Bombay for Gen Category you should have Rank under - AIR 20 or even less. Other Category such as OBC under - AIR 70 SC/ST category can be very variable can ho upto AIR 300 around. For IIT Indore M.Sc BT would be this year around under AIR 40 or at max AIR 50 (which also seems less likable). For OBC very much under AIR 100. Int. PhD in IIT- Kgp would go around AIR 50 somewhat for Gen Category. OBC Category - around AIR 100. Now talking about marks in the exam. According to the trend from last year it seems that marks around ~75 would bring you closer to the selection in IITs with Gen Category. 75+ marks would be safe to say that can guarantee you a seat in the exam. It can also vary according to the level of difficulty in questions asked in the exam hall. If it's very tough then it can go lower & higher even. So it's always Rank which matters most than marks. Marks can be variable each year. Prepare well. Best of Luck.
