How to prepare the topics in applied and pure mathematics

I think, I should not prepare applied and pure mathematics in the same manner. kindly tell me what is the best way to prepare applied and pure mathematics. Ex: Differential Equations (applied math) and Real Analysis (pure math)

    For exam point of views , approx 60percentage questions from pure mathematics and 40 percentage from applied ,see the beauty of pure mathematics is,if you know the concepts it's doesn't mean you are able to solve problems also but in applied mathematics if you know concepts you easily solve the problems.

    whatever it may be we have to prepare required concepts and practice some more examples than compared to pure math

    I just want to say that for beginning of any topic, first read the intro, it's topics and then with completion of each topic , do numericalls of that ,then go for the exercise of whole chapter... by doing this, you will definitely get the chapters and the while subjects... I strongly suggest u that try to spend more time in the subject that u feels tough and do as much as questions of that topic... alwys go for the standard books which don't contain mistakes... do ur best ... good luck...
