    sir, why have u taken A:y²+z²=16 ; in question it's given x²+y²+z²=16

    eduncle-logo-app

I have taken projection on y-z axis .So put x=0

    eduncle-logo-app

in last step , area of circle = π×r^2 =16π

    eduncle-logo-app

    feel free to ask again

    eduncle-logo-app

thanks a lot sir i got that step..

    eduncle-logo-app

sir projection is there on xy axis because then only we will have cylinder x²+y²=4y...i thought that...pls tell my mistake sir..

    eduncle-logo-app

    wait..

    eduncle-logo-app

sir basically i was referring this example

    eduncle-logo-app

in question, it is saying to find surface area of x^2+y^2=4y =S , here there is no Z in S , So not possible to take projection on x-y plane , So we have took projection on y-z plane

    eduncle-logo-app

sir in example i was referring there x²+y²=a² so there was no term of z then why projection on xy plane..pls tell sir

    eduncle-logo-app

    can you share complete example

    eduncle-logo-app

I think answer will be same on taking any projection . try at once

    eduncle-logo-app

    feel free to ask again

    eduncle-logo-app

sir this was example i was referring

    eduncle-logo-app

okk sir i will try with different. projection
