    we can written LC of Pn(R).....see

    in this qus you asked only for LC....and yes we can write B2 as a linear combination of Pn(R)....B2 is LI also....but B2 can not span Pn(R) so thats why it is not form basis

    I think there is mistake in question that you have posted . Can you share question from where you have put up ?

    B2 can be expressed as linear combination of pn(R) but pn(R) can not be expressed as linear combination of B2 . because dim(B)=n is less than dim(pn(R) - this should be there .
