How transistor is non linear device?

    Liner devices obey Ohm's law,where the current is simply proportional to the applied voltage. If you observe the current voltage characteristics of a transistor, you will see that current behaves in 3 different manners in the plot and we get three different regions of operation .None of them are linear. That is why it is a non linear device.

    Because it does not follow ohms law of resistivity. Linear device are those, whose V-I curve is straight line function. Non linear devices don't give straight line curve for V-I curves. Transistor is one of them.
