∆H2 is heat of neutralisation since heat of neutralisation is same for all strong acid and base (-57.62kJ/mol at 25°C) as in all cases H+ ion and OH- ions combine to give H2O. if heat of formation of H2O is equal to heat of neutralisation ( which is not actually so) then heat of formation of NaCl will be equal to heat of neutralisation

Sourav here Naoh is strong base and hcl is strong acid

    eduncle-logo-app

So heat of neutralisation is heat of formation of water

    eduncle-logo-app

both enthalpy i mentioned are different?

    eduncle-logo-app

    see

    eduncle-logo-app

yes so delta H1= delta H2

    eduncle-logo-app

only for strong acid and strong base...this is applicable

    eduncle-logo-app

    what happens during weak acid?

    eduncle-logo-app

for weak acid heat of neutralisation = enthalpy of ionisation plus heat of formation of water

    eduncle-logo-app

as for weak acid ionisation we require some heat

    eduncle-logo-app

if it is mentioned heat of ionization of HA, will it be in gas or aq state?

    eduncle-logo-app

    see

    eduncle-logo-app

    in aqueous

Both H is heat of neutralization

    eduncle-logo-app

then why heat of neutralisation is only heat of formation of H20.

    eduncle-logo-app

please wait i am checking this

    eduncle-logo-app

    please send the complete question

    eduncle-logo-app

enthalpy of neutralization is not equal to enthalpy of formation of water

    eduncle-logo-app

    this one
