    Electrophilicity of para methoxy benzaldehyde is less due to +I effect. But it is still electrophilic. So nucleophile will react but just tha reation will be a little slow.

    yes para methoxy benzaldehyde is slightly less electrophilic. it doesn't mean that nucleophile will not attack.
