A perfect blackbody is an idealized object which absorb radiations of all wavelengths from zero to infinity. Ferry's blackbody is just a model ( a structure that resembles the original behaviour) of a blackbody. The material of the body is not a blackbody, it is the shape of the body that makes the hole to act like a blackbody. When a light enters into the hole it suffers a large number of reflections and in each reflection the wave gets absorbed (wave-amplitude decreases) by little amount. Thus within the sphere the wave is being abosrbed gradually. But if light falls on the outer surface of the sphere some portion of it gets reflected. So surface of sphere doesn't act like a blackbody, it is the hole of sphere that absorbs the radiation.
