In mathematical physics, should i extra topics like special functions, probability theory, fourier and laplace transform? as these topics are not there in jam b

In mathematical physics, should I extra topics like Special functions, probability theory, Fourier and Laplace transform? As these topics are not there in JAM but are somewhat important for JEST, TIFR. Will it be worth to do these topics?

    dear, once you cleared these exams then in future you have to face interview and then you have to face these topics. so for all over i think for your better knowledge as well as sucess in examination and interview you should deal with all these topics. thses are not tough and hard topics. Start to read them and if u get any problem tell us.

    dear i think u should read these topics because in physics u have to fight more exam except jam. These topic will give you deep knowledge of physics

    in jest and tifr ,the merit list for msc or for PhD is different on the basis of same paper, so usually these topics are for msc students(not for u guys , graduate student) but in case for extra marks or for scoring good rank,u can go through the intro of these topics.. I suggest u that u can remember the starting formulas of Laplace transform and Fourier transform and do questions on the basis of it, that will be sufficient for u and in probability is little tough( so u can leave it as its ques are tough). and one more thing remember the differential equations of hermite,Bessel, ....best regards..

    yeah, if u want to go for tifr or jest then u can do little bit of these topics... like remember the formulas of these topics and do some questions.. don't go in deep..
