Garnets have the general chemical formula A 3B 2Si 3O 12, where A is a divalent cation (Fe 2+, Ca 2+, Mg 2+, Mn 2+) and B is a trivalent cation (Fe 3+, Al 3+, Cr 3+). The end-members pyrope, almandine, and spessartine form one solid solution series, while the end-members grossular, andradite and uvarovite form another. So from total 3 Fe is 2.5 Mg is 0.3 so Ca should be 0.2. Almandine have general formula. Fe₃Al₂Si₃O₁₂. so here Fe part will be taken in to consideration that is 2.5. so mole percentage is 2.5/3 * 100= 83.3%
