In this question, f(x) =x+1 . then how f(0) is 0? it should be 1 right???

    Note that f is defined on (0,1], which means 0 < x <= 1. This function has to be defined separately at 0. And that is what they have done. They have defined it to be 0 at x= 0, and x+1 at other points.
