    VolumeĀ does not affect vapourĀ pressureĀ . The liquid in a container is in equilibrium withĀ the vapour. When theĀ volumeĀ is changed, for example - decreased, some ofĀ the vapourĀ in the container turns into it's liquid state. ... So that theĀ pressureĀ can remain constant.
