    Remember work is always done against Pext and if Pext is not given then P2 is taken.

    P1 and P2 is the pressure of the system before and after while Pext is the pressure of the surrounding. In finite process it is P2 which is non zero meaning Pressure of the system is non zero.

    As there is non zero pressure for finite process it can't expand to infinite volume as pressure holds it
