is point lattice or space lattice only exist in 3D?

    in 2 D lattice is plane lattice and is 3 D lattice is space lattice that's the difference it's only the name 3D lattice are termed as space or point lattice

    space lattice means in space which can be described using the coordinates x,y&z so it exist in 3D only. If you talk about 2D then it will be in plane not in space.
