    NO2 is an ambidentate ligand. It can form a nitro - ( coordination through N) as well as a nitrito - ( coordination through O) complex.

    Each combination has two geometrically isomeric , cis - and trans - , forms. The cis isomer in each case being dissymmetric has two enantiomeric forms. so for each combination 3 isomers possible.

    so three combinations as you mentioned NO2-NO2, NO2-ONO and ONO-ONO... means 3×3=9

    NO2 shows linkage isomerism. so NO2-No2 , No2-ONO, ONO-ONO each 3 Isomer... so total 9 ..is this possible?
