    The molecular mass of Carbon (C) is 12u, Hydrogen (H) is 1u and Oxygen (O) is 16 u. Now CH2O (emperical formula mass) will weigh (12+2×1+16=) 30g. Given that the molecular mass is 90g. Therefore, 90/30 = 3. So, (CH2O)×3 gives C3H6O3
