    yes dear fourth power x is also important just put n= 0 for ground state, 1 for 1st excited state. this is most probable i recommend u to memorise it because these hv big calculation and highly probable

    dear as solution has already provided by chandra sir but i want ti say one thing in harmonic oscillator perturbation with respect to single double and fourth power need not to be solve because these are big solution and most pribable in exama it's not possible to solve so just remember them

    dear, look in these types of questions, when u have to find eigen values or eigen state, the only method is to write Hamiltonian that is total energy sum of k.e and p.e and H*phi=E*phi where phi is the eigen state and E is eigen value.. solve this equation, u will get ur answer.

    Mam but in this question the eigenstate is not given so how can we solve the eigenvalue equation? Or should we remember the eigenstates of harmonic oscillator?
