    Answer= 0.5 Liquidity index = (water content - plastic limit) / ( liquid limit - plastic limit) Water content = 30% = 0.3 Plastic limit = 20% = 0.2 Liquid limit = 40% = 0.4 Liquidity index= (0.3 - 0.2) / (0.4 - 0.2) = 0.1/0.2 = 0.5 So, liquidity index= 0.5
