but sir when proving the Ax=lamdax (eq to find eigenvalues and eigenvectors) we use equation 1 in the attachment. how can I use it?

yes we can do in this way also

I watched eigenvalues & eigenvectors episode on 3b1b

either use Ax = (lambda)Ix or det(A-(lambda)Ix) =0 . Both will give same answer .

but in the video they use this equation : Ax= (lamda)Ix
