kindly tell me in short why there is a difference in the form of divergence of spherical co-ordinate system & Laplace form. what is their significance and application

    In laplacian operater the function is producted(multiplied) two times by the del operator and in divergence it is only once. Generally spherical coordinate system is used to find the location of body/particle on a spherical surface.for example for finding location on earth this system is used.

    basic diff is that divergence is 1s order derivative.. while laplacian is second order so that.. formulas are different -2 ...best regards

    divergence is simply dot product of del with some vector and laplacian is divergence of gradient of some scalar function(del square). Divergence and laplacian are completely different operations.that's why there formula is different.

    Laplacian is double divergence means Laplacian is divergence of ( divergence of F)... that's why formulas are different for Laplacian and divergence...

    we operate divergence only on vectors while laplacian is operated on scaler
