    Answer: 66.67% Forsterite is Mg2SiO4 In one mole of Mg2SiO4, number of moles of different oxides are: 2 moles of MgO and 1 mole of SiO2 Mole % of MgO in Forsterite= [ Number of moles of MgO / (Number of moles of MgO + Number of moles of SiO2) ] = [ 2/ (2+1) ] × 100 = 66.67%
