Here Weak acid is acetic acid

    eduncle-logo-app

Salt is formed by weak acid + strong base.

    eduncle-logo-app

CH3COO-Na+. CH3COOH is weak acid & NaOH is strong base

    eduncle-logo-app

please ask if you don't get anything

    check this anand

It is spliited in two parts...1st is (salt of weak acid + strong base) and 2nd is weak acid....Both these parts mixture is Acidic buffer....

    eduncle-logo-app

    now got this anand?

    eduncle-logo-app

means to make acidic buffer i have to mix only Ch3cooh and NaoH

    eduncle-logo-app

weak acid you take and salt of weak acid and strong base...only condition is this

    eduncle-logo-app

im not getting it, salt will get prepared by mixing weak acid and strong base na

    eduncle-logo-app

    yes,see my attached image

    eduncle-logo-app

means if I have let soln of HCL and i have to maintain its ph then by adding only Ch3cooh and Naoh to it, its ph will remain same na?

    eduncle-logo-app

    im i right?

    eduncle-logo-app

first anand you have to make buffer solution then only na ph remains same...here first you have to take weak acid and strong base then salt is formed...then after mixture of formed salt and weak acid again...makes the acidic buffer

    eduncle-logo-app

means its buffer soln for Ch3cooh , that is it won't allow to change its ph, or it is used to maintain ph of any other acid other than ch3cooh

    eduncle-logo-app

what is its use im not getting

    eduncle-logo-app

anand...just to maintain acidic environment acidic buffer is used and for maintaining basic environment alkaline buffer is used....

    eduncle-logo-app

does it mean than if i have to make buffer for Ch3cooh to maintain its ph i have to do all above?

    eduncle-logo-app

no just acidic buffer is made like this...and some ph of that buffer is noted...if we want to do reaction at this certain ph that there is no change in ph...we use this buffer

    eduncle-logo-app

    oohhkk

    eduncle-logo-app

i have another que that, in laboratory their are already made soln of naoh , ch3cooh, koh, or many acidic and basic soln already preaped so do their acidity or basisity decrease day by day?

    eduncle-logo-app

yes, anand when in laboratory some acid and bases are kept for longer tym then when you take obseravtion by using these chemicals then there is difference is exact value...so sometym you have read in book that freshly prepared solution are to be used

    eduncle-logo-app

    ohkk

    eduncle-logo-app

if we made buffer soln then would they loss thier ph values after month?

    eduncle-logo-app

or can we maintain that acidic condition for so long time as many years?

    eduncle-logo-app

Not exact value you get as you are getting at the tym of preparation
