    Dear Narayan,

    Greetings!!

Ph.D is mainly pursued after completion of Master's degree and Integrated-Ph.D in done after Graduation. Hence, they are totally different because eligibility criteria for admission is different in both cases. You can opt for Ph.D if you have M.Sc in Maths with 55% marks, no need to go for integrated M.Sc-Ph.D program. There are some universities which offer M.Phil-Ph.D program for which Master's degree holders are eligible.

You can save time if you opt for integrated Ph.D program. It is usually of 5 years duration. In case of Ph.D the duration ranges from 3 to 5 years in most cases. There are not many Universities which offer integrated Ph.D program in India and most of the top Universities offer Ph.D after Master's degree.

Thank you for asking your query.

Candidates who opt for regular PhD have to work full time for his/her PhD degree.

Integrated PhD is the 5 years dual degree course of master’s and PhD. Generally, the first two years candidates need to study the master’s course (M.Sc or M.Tech) for the first two years and they focus on the research work and core PhD Course for next three years.
