NaCl is crystallized by show evaporation of its aqueous solution at room temperature. The correct statement is. (b) The crystals should have Frenkel defects (a) The crystals will be non-stoichiometric () The percentage of defects in the crystals will depend on the concentration of the soution and its rate of evaporation. why ?

shristy when the solvent evaporates the concentration increases...So these crystallisation process depends upon concentrations of the solution and rate of evaporation...These are basically experimental things..

Dear student, it will depend on the concentration as well as it's rate of evaporation. 😊

Dear Shristy...these are results of practicals performed in the labs..this is experimental input dear.. 😊 I'm sure there's a concept or logic behind this but, I'm afraid that's out of our scope of study! just keep this in mind... 😊
