    and how did you calculate dynamic resistance ...didn't understand?

    using the formula Rac=Va-Vb/(Ia-Ib) I have again calculated Rac.

    And for Silicon,knee voltage=0.3 volt and for germanium knee voltage =0.7volt. In the given question,knee voltage is approximately equal to 0.7volt. So it is a germanium diode.
